1. MAKING A PURCHASE Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to enable us to complete the order

2. SHIPPING AND HANDLING Delivery Schedule - Delivery hours - 6.30 AM -6.30PM,you must have someone available between these times to assist with unloading,we will telephone with the approximate time about 3 days before delivery,our driver then telephones about 1/2hr before arrival.
We strongly advise you do not book an installer or remove your existing door until your goods have arrived and have been checked. We are not liable for any installation costs, consequential losses for time, travel costs, costs due to transport damage on arrival or compensation in any way. We require to be notified of any damaged goods within 48 hours of arrival.

Garage door spares -We deliver your order within a few days .
Garage door motors - We will normally send your order to you in 2 business days.
Garage doors -These items will go on our own transport and can take between 10 and 28 days aprox to arrive .We advise you to check our delivery information section for the latest news on door delays .If by any unforseen circumstances delivery goes beyond the estimated time scale you will be given the option to cancel the order at no costs whatsoever .
The Cornwall and Scotland area is exempt from the 28 day estimate and can take slightly longer. Please call our transport department on 0121-749-7977 for more information.
Spare parts are sent via Royal mail signed for service .
Garage door motors via outside courier. Garage doors via The Garage Door King's own transport.
All methods require a signature from the householder,the person accepting the delivery must be over the age of 18 and have the express permission to sign for the goods on behalf of the purchaser .
On delivery all goods must be inspected and any faults noted on the paperwork .The goods must remain unfitted and the sales team notified immediately.You have 3 days to notify us of any fault with the item . you must not install an item you find fault with.
We only offer a kerb side / driveway delivery service and we will not place doors in your garage or carry doors to any other location .You must have the means to move doors after they are unloaded .We take the health and safety of our employees very seriously and they will not do anything whatsoever that may lead to an injury to themselves or others .
We offer a delivery service based on one driver and so we require an able bodied person to assist in the unloading . If you are not willing to help the driver for any reason please advise us in advance and we can arrange for two men on the delivery , this will require an extra delivery premium of £75.00 per door |

3. ORDERS All orders are taken on a supply only basis , it is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure the product size, style, colour and lifting gear are correct .Our sales team are available as a guide only and the telephone service we provide does not negate the resonsibility of our customers to fully investigate the technical aspects of each order.
Any damage must be notified to us within 2 days of delivery, no claims will be accepted after this time. We advise you do not accept delivery if the door is not in a satisfactory condition. Once the door has been fitted you have accepted the condition.

The return of incorrectly ordered products will incur a re-stocking charge of 20% of the invoice total ,the customer will also be liable for the collection costs incured by the transport department up to a maximum of £75.00.
Incorrectly ordered roller doors are non returnable ,
Special order doors that are not listed as standard items on our site have a re-stocking fee of 50% of the invoice value if cancelled or returned for any reason whatsoever .
Each product has in its description the address of the manufacturers web site to gather information, this will help to ensure the correct door size is selected, we strongly advise you familiarise youself with the door you are selecting and the clearances required for your purchase to work correctly . Once you unwrap your purchase it is non returnable .
We will not re stock or accept for return any door not in its original packaging or a door that you have attempted to install and failed for any reason whatsoever .

4. SECURITY When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. |

5. COSTING For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20.00% VAT is included in the advertised price .
Any unforseen price increases will be advised before delivery and the customer will have the opportunity to cancel the order and receive a refund of any payments made .
Advertised prices are adjusted daily to ensure our customers always receive the lowest possible price . |

6. BACK ORDER If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. |

7. GUARANTEE To claim under the terms of any warranty the customer will need to notify our sales team of the manufacturing fault in writing and must include the original invoice or order number .
The respective manufacturer will make arrangements to inspect the product and either repair or replace the item. Replacements will be granted on a supply only basis and is at the discretion of the manufacturer .
Terms and conditions of all manufacturers warranties are available on request.
All products supplied must be fitted and maintained in accordance with the individual manufacturers guidelines. In addition any warranty supplied may become void if any product is not handled ,stored, painted, maintained or preserved in accordance with instructions supplied. |

8. OWNERSHIP All goods supplied remain the property of The Garage Door King and its parent company untill paid for in full . |

9. LIABILITY The Garage Door King can not be responsible for any injury or loss of any kind to any property or persons arising from the use of any goods or in connection with the installation of any goods. |

10. PRIVACY [The Garage Door King] does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

12. WEE The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximize separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.
Why Recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the fastest growing type of waste.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in a landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.
Under the directive we must allow customers of new electrical items the opportunity to recycle the old electrical item, For instance if you buy a motor then you will be able to send us back your old motor on a like for like basis. You cannot send back another item i.e a garage door , window, another electrical item such as a kettle .
To recycle You must bring the item to us or send us your old WEEE item with proof of purchase of the new item on the outside of the box with the box clearly marked "WEEE Inside". You are liable for postage of the item. We do not offer a collection service and will not collect any item on delivery of a new item for logistical reasons. Alternatively your local recycling center offers a specified area for the correct disposal of WEEE.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.
